SAUVIGNON ICEWINE
Vintage 2011
Volume: 0.375 l
Alcohol content: 11.0 %
Wine serving temperature: 10 °C

Aroma
Honeyed tones, dried fruits.
Appearance
Golden yellow color.
Flavour
Full-bodied wine, long aftertaste.

Description
Top vintage. The natural conditions in the vineyard offered a fine mix of dried fruit, honey, raisins, candied fruit and apricots, which is intertwined with extremely fine nuances of linden. Despite the year it remains distinct. Acid preserves its freshness. Very sweet but not sugary, the texture is silky but firm, a soft but full and rich wine. Harmonious and very well balanced perfection.

It is difficult to describe its grandeur in words. Produced and designed for wine lovers.
It is very difficult to produce such high quality. An exceptionally good year. The winner of many gold medals, among them New York 2014 Double Gold (98 points) and Decanter 2015 Gold Medal.

SAUVIGNON DBS
Vintage 2006
Superior quality, dessert wine
Variety: Sauvignon, dry berry selection
Matured in: stainless steel barrel
Volume: 0.5 l
Alcohol content: 10.5 %
Wine serving temperature: 12 °C

Aroma
Tropical fruits, honey, caramel.
Appearance
Golden yellow.
Flavour
Rounded, full and rich wine.

Description
Sauvignon is an obliging aromatic variety. The vine is planted at a complex micro location, at 370 m above sea level; the vine crown is elevated at 60 cm and the warmth accumulated by the soil during the day warms the grapes long into the night, contributing to the development of high sugar content. Sauvignon maintains its varietal bouquet despite a later harvest. Its full-body is gained by age. Grape berries of this vintage added a special aroma, since they were particularly well warmed by the sun. The wine reveals traces of tropical fruits, from honey tones to caramel. It is suitable for gifts. It may be aged considerably – even above 20 years.

TRAMINER DBS
Vintage 2008
Superior quality, dessert wine
Variety: Traminer, dry berry selection
Matured in: stainless steel barrel
Volume: 0.5 l
Alcohol content: 10.5 %
Wine serving temperature: 12 °C

Aroma
Rose, changing into honey tones.
Appearance
Gold coin, yellow tones.
Flavour
With its prominent tannins, it appears spicy.

Description
For such superior quality wines, the programme of grape pressing is adapted. The pressing time is at least once longer than airing. Low pressures are required in order to obtain a better yield. Fermentation is very significant because of high sugar, together with little humidity, and acid levels lower than average. Yeast cultures, which ferment under these conditions, do not have a long life span; consequently, special and very high-quality cultures were used.
Competence and experience of the winemaker are of utmost importance. Traminer changes its varietal characteristic of rose into honey tones. Further away we are from the regular harvest, more the rose aroma changes into honey tones. It is a rich wine of superior quality, which requires to be served with a real dessert. It is a good accompaniment to chocolate soufflé, apple pie with cinnamon, or vanilla cream.

YELLOW MUSCAT DBS
Vintage 2007
Superior quality, dessert wine
Variety: Yellow Muscat, dry berry selection
Matured in: stainless steel barrel
Volume: 0.5 l
Alcohol content: 11 %
Wine serving temperature: 12 °C

Aroma
From flower tones to dry figs.
Appearance
Golden yellow.
Flavour
Rich, very distinctive.

Description
If we ever wish for a whole palette of aromas and flavours, Rumeni muškat is certainly the best variety to choose. Further away from the regular harvest the aromas progress from flower tones, via almond, to dry figs.
It is a variety, which requires special attention during the harvest. We picked the grapes 3 times before the harvest, leaving only the most beautiful and the healthiest berries. For this quality, they were exposed to a couple of frosts and were harvested in the late winter.
This Yellow Muscat is a true ladies’ wine.

WELSCHRIESLING DBS
Vintage 2009
Superior quality, dessert wine
Variety: Welschriesling, dry berry selection
Matured in: stainless steel barrel
Volume: 0.5 l
Alcohol content: 9.5 %
Wine serving temperature: 12 °C

Aroma
Prominent intense bouquet of ripe fruit.
Appearance
Lower yellow tones.
Flavour
Rich, harmonious, long aftertaste.

Description
Welschriesling is the most obliging variety, allowing anything from regular harvest, late harvest, selection, berry selection to dry berry selection, including ice wine.
The berries of Welschriesling are solid, healthy, permitting good flow of juice from the berry to the vine also in late autumn and the middle of winter.
This vintage received a lot of sun, the autumn was dry and windy, with cold bora (northerly) winds; and all this contributed to the high-quality of dry berry selection.

KERNER DBS
Vintage 2006
Superior quality, dessert wine
Variety: Kerner, dry berry selection
Matured in: stainless steel barrel
Volume: 0.5 l
Alcohol content: 13 %
Wine serving temperature: 12 °C

Aroma
Pronounced varietal bouquet.
Appearance
Middle to higher yellow.
Flavour
Rich and harmonious wine.

Description
It is characteristic of Kerner to reach high sugar content. For achieving so exquisite wine of such superior quality, we should be thankful to the suitable vintage.
Kerner grapes ripen very quickly, the stalks dry and are thin as hairs and quickly fall off the vine. We are thus particularly proud when we succeed in producing a dry berry selection. It is marked by honey notes, the varietal property confirms the character of Kerner.
Acid decreases with aging, it is very harmonious, and we rarely succeed in producing such a vintage.

Wine serving temperature: 12-14 °C

Aroma
Fruit and flower tones.
Appearance
Gold coin yellow.
Flavour
Fresh, but rich, with long aftertaste.

Description
It is a privilege to produce dry Yellow Muscat in our cellar. Its aroma and extracts round its body. The maturing of this variety is longer when compared to other varieties. Due to its higher acid content it tastes fresh and is thus also lighter. The wine is rich with tannins. Since it is a dry wine, it is perhaps less suitable for the ladies; however, it is definitely aristocratic. It is matured in a wooden barrel, final year in a stainless steel barrel.

GREEN SILVANER
Vintage 2009

very penetrating.
Appearance
Light yellow with a prominent shade of green.
Flavour
Fresh, light.

Description
Green Silvaner is extremely drinker-friendly wine, but very whimsical for the winemakers. The variety is very rich in proteins and requires pressing under low pressures for longer periods, since it is a high-yield grape. It requires strict fermentation under low temperature to ensure the characteristic varietal bouquet. It may be cut well with other wines. Acid is lower, it matures quickly in a barrel and does not withstand fluctuating temperatures well, not even in the barrel. Matures in stainless steel.

CHARDONNAY
Vintage 2009
White, dry

Matured in: stainless steel barrel
Volume: 0.75 l
Alcohol content: 13.5 %
Wine serving temperature: 10-12 °C

Aroma
Ripe peach.
Appearance
Soft yellow.
Flavour
Extract, full flavour.

Description
Chardonnay is an obliging variety, it can produce wines ranging from dry to very sweet. The site, the soil and the generous sun in Bela krajina significantly add to this. It is a dry wine with a higher alcohol content, which makes it also more stabile. First, it is aged in a wooden barrel, which requires more oxygen and air.
This aids in developing its variety characteristic of ripe peach. After that, it is aged in stainless steel barrels for half a year.

BLUE FRANCONIAN
Vintage 2007
Red, dry
Matured in: wood, oak barrels
Volume: 0.75 l
Alcohol content: 14.5 %
Wine serving temperature: 18 °C

Aroma
Forest fruits, blueberry, raspberry, vanilla.
Appearance
Intensive red, violet.
Flavour
Prominent, rich, long

Description
Blue Franconian is rich with tannins, which have a positive effect on our health. The maturity of the vintage provides aromas of forest fruits, especially blueberries and raspberries, with longer aging it also gains the vanilla tones. Fermentation occurs at high temperature above 28 degrees in a closed system, where it is fermented 70%, while further 30% of fermentation occurs in the barrel.
It must be aged in a wooden barrel, of suitable volume (not too large). We maintained constant temperature and humidity, enabled access of sufficient air and oxygen, without which there would be no Blue Franconian.
Tannins required more time to soften, since it was aggressive and astringent when young. The colour also needs air, which is why we decanted in sunny weather, through air, so that it glowed even more intensively. The wine is suitable for aging.

PORTUGIESER
Vintage 2011
Red, dry
Variety: Portugieser
Matured in: stainless steel barrel
Volume: 0.75 l
Alcohol content: 11.4 %
Wine serving temperature: 16-18 °C

Aroma
Cherries, sour cherries, raspberries.
Appearance
Ruby red.
Flavour
Fresh, light.

Description
Portugieser is a young wine. It matures quickly, is fresh and light. The first glass seems as drinking a crisp beverage, while the second or the third lets us know we are drinking a serious wine. The wine reaches a lower alcohol level when compared to red wines. The Portugieser grows on an old soil and is the only variety that allows its ripeness to be determined on through the berry skin and stalk. The variety does thus not require professional assessment with the aid of measuring sugar and acid as the vine itself shows this. The wine is ready for drinking in a few months. It is bottled promptly.
